Volunteers
Voluntary Work within the centre
Volunteers play an important part assisting both visitors and staff within the Centre. A small team of permanent volunteers is based within the Centre and all receive appropriate training from both the Trust and the Centre.
If you decide to become a volunteer you will be involved in many tasks including meeting and greeting visitors to the Centre, helping with refreshments, talking and listening to visitors, issuing items from the library and ensuring a tidy and tranquil environment for all visitors.
All volunteers are supported by the Centre staff and the Trust Voluntary Services staff and are affiliated to both the Centre and the Trust Voluntary Services Department working within the relevant policies and role remits.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please get in touch with the Voluntary Services Department at the Norfolk and Norwich University - telephone number 01603 286060.
Friends of the Centre
It is thanks to everyone who responded to Big C so enthusiastically and so generously that we have the Big C Centre today – making a difference in the quality of life for so many people in our area affected by cancer.
